Tinnitus sufferers?
How can the doctor treat you for your tinnitus? Im 16 and I have tinnitus … I'm going to a speacialist after listen to an ENT tell me they can not do anything, and I have mild hearing loss ….. my tinnitus interferes with my tests, school work, and sometimes my dream ….. Any idea what is going to do for me? thanks
Typyically, Parents and other specialists in the ear can not do much for tinnitus. Some prescribe antidepressants or other mind-altering drugs, but that does nothing for tinnitus as such – just so you do not worry about your tinnitus som much. There is something you can do for themselves same though. You must learn to concentrate on other things your tinnitus. The more you focus on your tinnitus the more intrusive and harder at what appears to be. The opposite also true. The more you focus on other things, fewer are aware of their tinnitus and you realize it does not bother you, but still there – But more in the background. I have had constant tinnitus day and night for over 35 years, but I let my tinnitus does not bother me, although that is always there. You can learn to do the same.
